Terms of Service

Last updated: September 17, 2026

Operated by BREBU MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED (CIN U70200MH2024PTC436611), Gala 220, Second Floor, Prabhadevi Industrial Estate, Opp. Siddhivinayak Temple, Prabhadevi, Mumbai – 400025, Maharashtra, India.

These Terms are an agreement between you and BREBU MEDIA TECHNOLOGIES PRIVATE LIMITED (“BreadButter”, “we”, “us”). They govern your use of the BreadButter platform at bb.bio and thebreadbutter.com, including public profile pages and all related features (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy, Community Standards, Refund & Cancellation Policy and Cookie Policy, which form part of these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

BreadButter lets creators and freelancers build a public portfolio page (for example bb.bio/yourname), upload and organise their work, import or embed content from platforms they connect, list offerings and pricing, publish contact options, and see aggregate statistics about their page. Some features require a paid subscription (“Pro”).

The Service displays and transmits content that users create, upload, import or embed. In respect of that content BreadButter acts as an intermediary: we do not create it and, except for the licence in section 5, we do not claim ownership of it.

2. Eligibility and minors

You must be capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Service.

If you are under 18: you may use the Service only if your parent or legal guardian has reviewed these Terms and consented to your use of it. By creating an account while under 18, you confirm that you have that consent. If you do not have it, please stop using the Service immediately and write to support@thebreadbutter.com to have your account and data removed. We may suspend or remove accounts where we have reason to believe this confirmation is untrue, and we may ask for evidence of parental consent at any time.

You can add your date of birth in account settings. Where we know an account holder is under 18, we do not send marketing messages to them and we limit behavioural analytics for their account.

3. Your account

  • Keep your login methods and your account secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
  • One person per account. Do not share, sell or transfer accounts.
  • Usernames: choose a username that does not infringe anyone’s rights and does not impersonate any person or brand. We may reclaim, reassign or change usernames that are inactive, infringing, misleading, reserved, or used in breach of these Terms.
  • We may verify your email address and/or phone number using one-time passwords sent by email, SMS or WhatsApp.

4. Acceptable use

You must not use the Service for anything unlawful, and you must not host, display, upload, publish, link to or share content that breaches our Community Standards, which include the categories of content prohibited under Rule 3(1)(b) of the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

In particular:

  • No adult or NSFW content. BreadButter does not permit pornographic, sexually explicit or other adult content anywhere on the Service, in any form.
  • No illegal activity or purposes. You must not use the Service for any activity or purpose that is illegal under applicable law — including the laws of India and the laws of the country from which you use the Service or at which you direct your page.
  • No impersonation, deception, scams, spam, malware, or harvesting of other people’s data.
  • No content that is obscene, paedophilic, invasive of another’s privacy including bodily privacy, insulting or harassing on the basis of gender, racially or ethnically objectionable, encouraging of money laundering or gambling, harmful to children, infringing of intellectual property, deliberately misleading, or threatening to the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, friendly relations with foreign States, or public order.
  • AI-generated content that is deceptive, or presented as authentic when it is synthetic, must be labelled as such. Do not use synthetic media to impersonate real people.

Moderation. We carry out internal moderation, including manual review, of content on the Service. We may remove or restrict content, and suspend or terminate accounts, that we reasonably believe breach these Terms or the law. Moderation is a right we exercise, not a guarantee that all content is reviewed. We act on lawful takedown orders within the timelines set by applicable law, and on complaints as described in our Grievance Redressal Policy.

Annual reminder. We will remind you at least once a year of these rules and that non-compliance can lead to removal of content or termination of your account.

5. Your content, our licence

You own your content. Everything you upload, create, import or embed on the Service (“Your Content”) remains yours or your licensors’.

Licence to us. So that we can run the Service, you grant BreadButter a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable (to our infrastructure and service providers) licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt for technical purposes such as resizing and generating thumbnails, publish, publicly display, distribute and make searchable Your Content, in order to:

  1. operate and provide the Service, including displaying your public page to anyone on the internet and in search engines;
  2. promote the Service and showcase creators — we may feature your public page and the content you created in BreadButter’s own marketing, with attribution to you (this does not extend to media you imported from another platform); and
  3. build and improve BreadButter’s own products and features, including our AI features.

This licence ends when you delete the relevant content or your account, except that removal from backups, caches and our providers’ systems may take a reasonable further period, content already included in marketing materials produced before deletion may continue to appear in them, and we may retain what the law requires.

How we use your content and data. We use Your Content and data about how the Service is used to train, evaluate and improve BreadButter’s own products and features — for example generating suggested profile drafts from content you import. We do not permit third-party AI providers to train their own models on Your Content, and we do not sell your personal data. Where we use an external AI provider to power a feature, we use them under terms that restrict use of your data to providing that feature to us.

Content imported from other platforms is not relicensed to us. Media you bring in from Instagram, YouTube or another platform remains subject to that platform’s own terms. The licence above lets us host and display it on your page at your instruction; it does not give BreadButter any broader rights over that content, and we do not sublicense it to anyone except the infrastructure providers who help us serve your page.

Your warranties. You confirm that you have all rights needed to post Your Content and to grant this licence, and that Your Content — including content you import or embed from other platforms — does not infringe anyone’s intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights.

Feedback you send us about the Service may be used without restriction or obligation.

6. Connected accounts and embedded content

The Service can display content from third-party platforms that you connect, import or embed. Our access to accounts you connect is read-only — we never post, edit or delete anything on those platforms. What we access and store is described in section 5 of our Privacy Policy.

  • Content you embed remains subject to the source platform’s terms. By using YouTube features on the Service you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google’s Privacy Policy applies to data processed by Google.
  • Our use of information received from Meta APIs adheres to the Meta Platform Terms and Developer Policies.
  • You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to import or embed the content you choose, and that doing so complies with the source platform’s terms.
  • You can disconnect a connected account at any time from Vault → Connectors. Third-party platforms may change or withdraw embedding features; we are not responsible for their availability.

7. Contact options and your dealings with others

Your page can display contact options — for example your email, phone number, WhatsApp link or booking link — which you choose to publish. Anything you publish on your public page, including contact details, is visible to anyone.

BreadButter is a conduit only: we are not a party to, and accept no responsibility for, any communication, engagement, contract or payment between you and anyone who contacts or hires you through your page.

8. Plans, billing and renewal

  • Free and paid plans. Current plans, prices and inclusions are on our pricing page. Customers in India are charged in INR and Indian prices are subject to GST at the applicable rate; customers elsewhere are charged in USD. A tax invoice is issued for every payment.
  • Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing cycle until you cancel. By subscribing you authorise recurring charges of the plan price plus applicable taxes through our payment processor, Razorpay.
  • Payment mandates (India). Recurring payments set up over UPI Autopay, cards or net-banking e-mandates are authorised with your bank’s additional-factor authentication. Your bank or issuer will send you a pre-debit notification at least 24 hours before each charge, and you can modify, pause or cancel the mandate at any time — in the Service, or directly with your bank or UPI app. Cancelling the mandate stops future charges and your subscription lapses at the end of the paid period.
  • Price changes take effect from your next billing cycle, with prior notice.
  • Failed payments may lead to a downgrade to the free plan after a grace period. Downgrading does not delete your content.
  • Card and bank details are collected and processed by Razorpay. BreadButter never stores your card number.

9. Cancellation, refunds and downgrades

You can cancel your subscription at any time in Settings → Billing; you keep paid features until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy: fees are generally non-refundable, but you may request a refund within 7 days of a charge and we consider requests case by case.

On downgrade to the free plan, content and pages beyond free-plan limits may become unpublished or read-only, but we do not delete your content when you downgrade — it stays in your account unless you delete it or your account is deleted.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why, who processes it for us, your rights — including access, correction, erasure and withdrawal of consent — and how to reach our Grievance Officer.

11. Suspension and termination

By you: you may stop using the Service at any time, and may request deletion of your account and data as described in the Privacy Policy.

By us: we may suspend or terminate your account, or remove content, if you materially or repeatedly breach these Terms or the Community Standards, if required by law or lawful order, to protect the Service or its users, or for non-payment. Where practicable we will tell you and, for breaches that can be cured, give you an opportunity to do so. On termination your public page comes down. Sections 5, 12 to 17 survive termination.

12. BreadButter's intellectual property

The Service — including our software, design, trade marks (“BreadButter”, “bb.bio”, our logos) and content we create — belongs to BreadButter or its licensors. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Service under these Terms. Do not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, scrape at scale, resell or misuse the Service or our marks.

13. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation, that content or statistics are accurate, or that the Service will meet your requirements. We are not responsible for content posted by users, for third-party platforms, or for opportunities you do or do not receive through your page.

14. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law: BreadButter will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, goodwill or data; and our aggregate liability for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of the amounts you paid us in that period and ₹5,000. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including under Indian consumer protection law where it applies.

15. Indemnity

You will indemnify BreadButter against third-party claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your breach of these Terms, or your dealings with people who contact or hire you through the Service.

16. Changes

We may change the Service, and we may update these Terms. For material changes we will give you reasonable advance notice — for example by email or an in-product notice — and the updated Terms apply from the stated effective date. Continuing to use the Service after that date means you accept them. The current version is always at this page with its effective date.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any consumer rights that cannot be waived, the courts at Mumbai, Maharashtra have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service.

18. Grievances and contact

Complaints about content or the Service, including complaints under the Information Technology Rules, 2021, go to our Grievance Officer:

19. General

If any provision is unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our not enforcing a provision is not a waiver of it. You may not assign these Terms; we may assign them as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets, with notice to you. These Terms, together with the policies referred to in them, are the entire agreement between you and BreadButter about the Service.
