Reporting impersonation or intimate imagery (24-hour fast track)

If someone has created a page pretending to be you, or published intimate or nude imagery of you, email support@thebreadbutter.com with the subject “IMPERSONATION”. You do not need a BreadButter account, and someone may report on your behalf. We act within 24 hours and do not require a court order.

How we handle these reports. We ask you to identify yourself and to confirm in good faith that the report is accurate — knowingly false reports are themselves a breach of our Terms. We then assess the reported page on the face of it: we are not deciding who is telling the truth, only whether the page appears on its face to impersonate you. If it does, we disable public access to it within 24 hours and tell the account holder why. The account holder may then show us that the account is genuinely theirs — for example by connecting the social accounts in question, or providing identification. If they do, we restore the page and tell you. If they do not, the content stays down, and repeat offenders are removed from BreadButter.

If you are the account holder and think we got it wrong: write to the Grievance Officer. If you are not satisfied with our decision you may appeal to a Grievance Appellate Committee within 30 days — see Escalation below.

How to complain

Email the Grievance Officer with: your name and contact details; the address (URL) of the content, or your order or payment reference; what the problem is; and any supporting material. You can also raise a complaint from the in-product support chat or our Contact page.

Consumer disputes may be pursued under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019. Intellectual property complaints

If you believe content on bb.bio infringes your copyright, trade mark or other intellectual property, email support@thebreadbutter.com with the subject “IP Complaint”, including: identification of the protected work; the exact address (URL) of the allegedly infringing content; your name and contact details and your relationship to the rights holder; a statement made in good faith that the use is not authorised by the rights holder or the law, that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you understand a false complaint may attract legal liability; and your signature.

We acknowledge within 24 hours, and where the notice is valid we remove or disable access to the content within 72 hours. We notify the user who posted it, who may respond with a counter-statement showing they hold the rights or authorisation. Accounts of repeat infringers are terminated. This procedure supplements, and does not replace, your rights under the Copyright Act, 1957, the Trade Marks Act, 1999 and other law.
